In 1975 Anders Ahnesjö and Carl-Johan Hansson went river rafting in a blue and yellow rubber boat. What they did not know is that they then started a tradition that today is one of the biggest student events in Sweden, the River rafting at Valborg.

During the years the River rafting has grown to be a big event that gives the Union a chance too be seen by the public. The River festival before the rafting also gives the students at the faculty a nice occasion to get together and enjoy fun activities with food and drinks. The River festival and the rafting is an important occasion for the Union to show, both for the students and for the public, what we are and what we are working for.

The Deputy project manager is, accompanied by the project manager, responsible for the Committee’s activities. This includes detailed planning and implementation of the event. The Deputy Master Commander has the financial responsibility for the event and for all activities organised in this context.
