The management team

Student Liaison Officer Head of Academic Affairs – PhD programmes and Affiliations 2025-2026

Deadline: April 6, 2025

Role Description

UTN’s student liaison officers work with monitoring and improving the faculty’s education as well as the study environment for both students and doctoral candidates. As the student liaison officer for doctoral education and collaboration, you are responsible for monitoring and improving these programmes—locally, nationally, and internationally. The Utb-f (doctoral education and collaboration) officer is also responsible for partnerships within SFS, the Swedish National Union of Students.

UTN has four student liaison officers, each with their own area of responsibility: engineering programmes, science programmes, study-related social issues, and doctoral education and collaboration. Together with the union’s president, they form the liaison unit. Alongside the other full-time officers, the student liaison officers are also part of the union’s executive management team. The work includes routine tasks, case handling, and individual projects.

The position of student liaison officer for doctoral education and collaboration is a full-time, compensated assignment. While holding this position, you are expected to take a study leave during the mandate period and work full-time with this role. Alongside the other full-time officers, the student liaison officers are part of the union’s executive management team. The role includes routine tasks, casework, and your own projects.
